Children are welcome at Ski Blue Ridge

At Ski Blue Ridge we welcome families and we have in place, a well organised and professional flexible system for looking after children.

We offer an excellent flexible all round service depending on the children's ages. Your children will be looked after by experienced caring people under Janes guidance who will come to the chalet and keep them happily entertained. [ Jane is a qualified nurse and has over 25 years experience ] Children just love returning to us, our first year babies are now off piste skiers giving Rob and I a run for our money !!

For the children in ski school we can look after them with our own in house nanny service they can be taken to and collected from their class and looked after for the whole day or half day. They can meet you for a lunchtime rendezvous or be entertained back at the chalet. Activities include sledging and the obligatory building of snow-men! Very young non-skiing children under 3 years are best looked after by the local creches. Le Club des Petits Montagnys www.esf-lesgets.com welcomes children from 4 years to 12 years for full or half days, a team of qualified play leaders look after the children and offer an amusing indoor and outdoor activities depending on the weather in conjunction with their ESF lessons (see the ESF website).

We want you to be free, to enjoy as much precious ski time as you want, knowing your children are enjoying themselves too. In a nutshell, whatever your requirements we shall aim to meet your needs.

Our Chef can provide an early supper at about 6 o'clock for the children so that they can be in bed by your dinner time, enabling parents to relax and enjoy the evening to themselves. Evening baby-sitting can be organised too if you have the energy left to go out till late yourselves! There is television, DVD, Playstation and lots of children's videos to keep them busy not to mention the bar/games room with a table tennis table..

For your convenience we  have cots and high-chairs and stair gates and baby car seats and booster seats on hand  at the chalets. For very young children under two, from past experience, are best looked after if they have a full time nanny for the week. On a one to one or two to one ratio. This service would need to be pre-booked unless you were bringing your own nanny.  Baby-food and nappies can all be purchased in the village if needed.
