Ski Schools

There are various ski schools in Les Gets that are all very good at teaching both skiing and snow boarding in English

  • Ecole du Ski Français (ESF),
  • Ecole Ski Plus
  • British Alpine Ski School (BASS)
  • Les Gets Snowsports
  • Alpine Learning Curves
  • Ecole de Ski 360° International
  • Ecole de Ski Ile des Enfants
  • The Edge Snowsports

Each school provides different levels of service in terms of groups, hours and abilities. This ranges from private individual tuition to mixed group lessons. We provide some popular options and prices here but for full information we recommend you visit their websites. For links simply click on the link on the name on the left of this page.

To avoid disappointment we advise early booking of lessons especially during peak holiday periods. We suggest you visit the websites and book on line to guarantee your place. If not, and you prefer to book in resort, then a rep from each school will visit our chalet on your arrival evening.

Ecole du Ski Français (ESF)  www.esf-lesgets.com
Whether its a first ski, or the big discovery of "les Portes du Soleil" ski area, the collective classes of the ESF are adapted to your level. To know the class which corresponds best to your ability, ESF invite you to consult the table "Tests, Levels" on their website. This winter we have the option of working with ESF Jean Luc Tamanini as our own available instructor. His english is perfect and hes fantastic for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. You will need to book and pay early to secure him though!

Ecole Ski Plus www.skiplus-lesgets.com
Established local French family run Ski School offering the full range of tuition from private lesson to group courses. Operates in conjunction with prominent local Ski/Ski Hire shop Berthet Sports.

British Alpine Ski School (BASS)www.britishskischool.com
Les Gets is lucky to have B.A.S.S. who of course all speak English and so are excellent for  Brits especially  where the instructor/ pupil ratio is no more than one to six and only one to four for the very little ones. With an outstandingly effective approach, delivered with humour. These courses will help you to develop your skiing or snowboarding skills more easily, with more fun, than any course or private lessons you have ever experienced before.

Tim Scott www.skischool.co.uk  email info@skischool.co.uk
Independent Scottish ski instructor Tim Scott provides high quality professional ski and snowboard instruction in and around Les Gets. Most of his clients are British, who prefer to be taught by a native English speaking teacher.
Many skiers and boarders choose private lessons, either on a one-to-one basis, as couples or small groups. He also offers Junior Freeriders ski courses which have a maximum of eight per group - fewer than most ski schools! Half and full days are a fantastic way to see a bit more of the area and can combine instruction with guiding.

Alpine Learning Curves / Joe Beer www.alpinelearning curves.co.uk   E-mail: jbeer@alpinelearningcurves.co.uk
Joe offers private or small group lessons in Skiing, Telemarking and snowboarding. The instructors all have English as a first language and full french equivalence.
